RMIT School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering is running a flexible delivery teaching and learning partnership with Singapore Institute of Commerce a commercial education provider in Singapore.
This partnership with SIC allows RMIT Engineering to offer the following programs in a flexible education mode.
Undergraduate
RMIT staff manage the courseware, selection, assessment and other academic matters for these programs. Students are supported by local tutors and regular workshops run by RMIT staff to discuss assignments and unit content. There are also two visits by students of both the Mechanical Engineering program and the Automotive Engineering program to Australia for intensive laboratory work at the East Bundoora campus.
Students are continually assessed through a combination of written assignments, project work, examinations and theses. The standards of these assessment components are the same as those for RMIT Engineering students in Australia. Upon the successful completion of a program, students will receive a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or a Bachelor of Engineering (Automotive) identical to that of on-campus RMIT Engineering students in Australia. RMIT Engineering programs are accredited by The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
Additionally, the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) offered by RMIT University at SIC in Singapore has been provisionally accredited by the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
