Advanced Industrial Informatics

Industrial Informatics uses information analysis, manipulation, and distribution techniques to improve efficiency, effectiveness, reliability and security in an industrial environment. The Advanced Industrial Informatics Research Group reflects the variability in techniques embodied in the field, to address industry problems using multidisciplinary approaches. This group involves researchers from three Schools; Computer Science and IT, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mathematical and Geospatial Sciences.

The Group’s research interests include: development of agent systems; decision support systems; automation and software development for service industries; improving methods of testing for glaucoma; telecommunications; logistics; web searching; medical and forensic imaging and analysis; and information security.
