The College of Science, Engineering and Health (SEH) Research Facilities
The College of Science, Engineering and Health has developed extensive and advanced research facilities to support its research efforts.
Examples of our recent facility improvements include:
- The College of SEH's place as a leader of nanotechnology research was cemented with the opening in February 2007 of its NanoVic Scanning Probe Facility. Housing a Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscope (SNOM), Atomic Force Microscope and Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting Spectroscopy facilities, this initiative is supported by Nanotechnology Victoria and the Australian Research Council.
- An ARC Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities Grant assisted in the purchase of a sophisticated transmission electron microscope to the value of over $1 million. Scientific researchers from RMIT and partner institutions including the University of Melbourne, Swinburne and Monash universities will use the microscope for a variety of projects.
