An organisation's governance structure is separate from management; it takes an objective view of the management of an organisation when participating in the planning and decision making processes. Membership of governance committees may include internal (students and staff) and external stakeholders. Governance is the set of internal structures and processes an organisation uses to:
Make decisions relating to its regulations and standards.
Ensure that it is operating and managing appropriately and according to its regulations and standards. The operating regulations and standards are determined by the interests of an organisation's internal and external stakeholders.
Be accountable to others in that it is operating and managing appropriately and according to its regulations and standards.
TAFE, undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to join the College Board and Academic Development Committee. Contact Rick Ryan for more information about each committee. Copies of committee terms of reference can be provided on request.
